For Mummy Day, Tom Cruise was at the Hollywood & Highland complex as they unveiled a big mummy for Universal's The Mummy movie.

"I just remember growing up and seeing them on Friday and Saturday night when I was a little kid and absolutely being terrified and being transported to another era. The ones that I saw were the ones on television, The Boris Karloff, Lon Chaney, Bela Lugosi. Those classic monster films that Universal created. I was very excited to have the opportunity to be part of this. To make it modern for this time... It's very intense, it's got a lot of adventure in the film and it's also very funny. We are really playing with a lot of tones and I am excited to be part of this," Cruise stated.

There's always so many corporate events happening in Hollywood. At the W Hotel, Pioneer Electronics did a presentation showcasing how easy it is to transform your car into the ultimate smartphone accessory with its newest line of 2017 NEX receivers. The lineup, which includes the LCD AVH-2330NEX, AVH-2300NEX, LCD AVH-1330NEX, AVH-1300NEX and AVH-3300NEX, now offers drivers access to the latest in-vehicle connectivity, along with entertainment options at one of the most consumer-friendly price-points.

With so much activity, Hollywood is a mecca for businesses. I met Hollywood entrepreneur Anjel Gunnershaug, who had a busy day meeting with local plastic surgeons to debut her latest product, RhinoShield, a translucent device that allows people to comfortably wear glasses after facial surgery and/or rhinoplasty. "With so much competition for actors in Hollywood, rhinoplasty is big business. It's no wonder there are many plastic surgeons who are based here and it's exciting to talk with them about my product. Rhinoplasty and facial plastic surgery are more popular than ever. As a first time entrepreneur, I feel that Hollywood is an excellent area to grow one's business."

I did a great organic Pure Pressed juice cleanse from Hollywood's home delivery food service, Z.E.N Foods. This is a great way to kick start your summer. Juicing helps detoxify the body, strengthen your immune system and reduce inflammation, all while fighting the aging process and the onset of disease.

The "spa experience" includes six cold-pressed juices daily, a raw soup and a salad each day, organic turmeric ginger detox tea (for sipping) and pink Himalayan bath salts (for relaxing and detoxing). Z.E.N., which stands for Zero Effort Nutrition, also provides nutritiously balanced meals designed to help you maintain your current healthy lifestyle. Offering fresh food delivered daily to your home i Z.E.N. Following a successful launch in New York, Texas and major music festivals nationwide, Electric Sky Wine will debut in Hollywood just in time for the summer. In partnership with music powerhouse Interscope Records, Electric Sky is the first premium, consumer-friendly wine born out of music. The wine is offered in convenient, single serve, stackable portions with four easy-to-sip varietals: French Rosé, Italian Pinot Grigio, California Moscato and California Red Blend. Electric Sky is sourced from select vineyards in the French Languedoc, Italian Veneto and California wine growing regions.

The wines are styled to be approachable and refreshing, offering varietals that are most popular with today's younger, premium wine consumers. Designed for an on-the-go lifestyle, Electric Sky comes in a unique 750mL bottle that snaps into four pre-filled, shatterproof glasses of wine, which are 100% recyclable and BPE free. Convenient and portable, Electric Sky allows consumers to enjoy their favorite wine at any given location. The single serve glasses are also perfect for occasions where only one glass of wine is desired, without having to open a whole bottle. As the first and only wine brand housed under a music label, "We set out to disrupt and challenge the outdated rules of the traditional wine world," explains James Hubert, CEO of Electric Sky.

"We want to make quality wines that are refreshing and accessible wherever people come together to have fun and connect." Millennials now serve as the largest generation of wine consumers, consuming 42% of wines in the US last year. Hubert continued to say, "We believe that the younger wine consumer will embrace this new approach and is ready for a brand that understands their needs, and can engage with them directly, providing music-centric experiences they enjoy."

If you are looking for a great sandwich, check out Fat Sal's. I went to a media preview of The Banana Waffle Salted Carmel Shake there, which was a collaboration with the NYC restaurant, Black Tap.They gave out shakes paired with some sandwiches and it was delicious.
