The founder, Stingray, is a professionally trained surf instructor and lifeguard, having taught surfing all over the world, and is also the former coach of the Malibu High Surf Team, where they achieved many accolodates under his coach term. He impressively led surf coaching for Quicksilver for 5 years in the Canary Islands as head coach, managed their SoCal Surf schools, and as a pro surfer surfed competitively in Hawaii, SoCal and Australia all before returning to Malibu to launch his coaching endeavor.
As a Malibu native, Stingray's passion and knowledge for the local waves and water systems spans over 30+ years. He has an amazing team of professionals trained under his realm.
In addition to surfing the company also offers stand-up paddle (SUP), at a rate of $100 per individual, $90 for two, or $80 for three. Rates further offered for 4 guests or more in a group package price.
A standard surf lesson is 90 minutes for $120, with slight increases for longer lesson sessions. A brief lesson is offered at $100 for 60 minutes. Stand Up paddle prices are slightly less. More extensive surf lessons with Chris "Stingray" are slightly higher in rate for the pro level lesson application.
Packages are also offered as 3 or 6 lesson package series at a discounted rate. AND there is no swimming ability required.
All are inclusive of instruction, surfboard and wetsuits provided, so that makes for a great deal right there. All are properly cleaned between use for Covid-19 friendly practices. Another fun aspect is that they offer photos if requested of your lesson, and if desired, a go-pro/video package to capture the lesson for an additional fee.
