With more than 35 entertainers represented in this year's exhibit is sure to delight featuring costumes of many favorite stars from their films, TV, and concert appearances including: Eddie Murphy, Queen Latifah, Whoopi Goldberg, Samuel L. Jackson, 50 Cent, Tiffany Haddish, RuPaul, Vivica A. Fox, Billy Porter, Denzel Washington, Greg Morris, Forest Whitaker, Sherman Hemsley, Viola Davis, Don Cheadle, O'Shea Jackson Jr., Jason Mitchell, Petri Hawkins Byrd, Nell Carter, Wayne Brady, Esther Rolle, Jackeé Harry, and more...
Of particular note are the amazing female singers and fabulous costumes worn by Pearl Bailey, Lena Horne, Natalie Cole, Eartha Kitt, Diana Ross, Whitney Houston, The Pointer Sisters, and Ella Fitzgerald.
The exhibit's opening night was attended by an impressive group of notables who were welcomed by State Senator Elaine Durazo following opening remarks by the lovely and gracious museum president Donelle Dadigan.
Each visit is always special as all the exhibits constantly revolving and new items added. Beginning with the historic Max Factor Studio on the ground floor and continuing upward with the 2nd and 3rd floors packed with costumes and memorabilia from favorite film and TV. No one ever leaves disappointed.
The current exhibit runs through April 28, 2024.
