FOXY LADIES LOVE BOOGIE 70's EXPLOSION! Is a sensational show with its catchy musical numbers and adored characters dressed in amazing, never out of style 70's costumes. It is fun and full of sensuality. The ladies sing notable songs like glam rock, punk, new wave, pop, funk, disco music, and folk theme songs of that era. The audience is highly entertained with its portrayals of gorgeous girls who found major success combining music with dancing and other such theatrics. Whatever kind of music you prefer, there is something there for everyone.
Touching upon cultural awakening and the battle of the sexes with the freedom and popular songs of the 1970's, a fantastic decade for music of many different genres-- 'You Light Up My Life', 'One Day at the Time', 'The First Time I Ever Saw Your Face', 'I beg Your Pardon', 'Sing a Song', and many more. Projections on four screens with the live music (multiple electric guitars, drums, piano etc.) are scattered all along the stage area. The powerful, charming, and creative vocal performances awoke the 'Flower child' within us all.
It is wonderful to listen to the impressive legends like Charlotte Crossley, nicknamed "Charlo", who is an American singer and actress, best known for her roles in the musical theatrical productions of 'Hairspray, The Color Purple, Jesus Christ Superstar, as a member of the Harlettes in Bette Midler's Clams On The Half-Shell Revue, and for her appearance in 20 Feet from Stardom. Although described as a comedian, her powerful performances and wonderful voice was a treat for all of us.
All Foxy Ladies are phenomenal. The passion, the love for music, for the theatre are expressed with an emotional connection to all the songs. Breaking the 4
th wall and engaging the audience in the act is always welcomed, well received and super entertaining. Created and fabulously directed by Fritz Brekeller, along with incredible musical direction by Joel Rutkowski and sensational choreography by Ashley Wren Collins, this show is an absolute - MUST SEE.
